BIG CITY POLITICS AND CHURCHES
This is not the first time that Linden has touched upon this situation for which there appears to be no rational answer. Almost all of the largest cities are led by members of the democrat party. A fairly large percentage of the inner city churches welcome with open arms the leaders of this party. This in spite of the records showing constantly increasing poverty, out-of-wedlock births, abortion rates, and crime in general. Recently, the Christian owners of Chick-fil-A have been slighted in major ways by some of the large city political (democrat) leaders. Will the leaders of the churches in these cities embrace racism and politics over Christianity? Judgment Day will come!!!

Sunday, August 5, 2012 is the date of the 7th annual Plainfield Christian Church free (donations will be accepted to benefit the bands) bluegrass music and southern gospel concert. Here is a bluegrass song, #17 of those selected for you:

Started my Monday by dropping by the church for a few minutes then on to Chick-fil-A for biscuits and gravy. Due to the recent publicity, I will start going there even more often. Then, I picked up a bunch of junk mail at the post office. Kent dropped by for a short visit. Corresponded with Brian and Julie and I did little worth mentioning most of the day. Lloyd came by in the evening and we went to a relatively short Republican meeting in Avon.

1100 PAGES OF CRAP
Linden believes that much of the maligning of Congress is wrongly attributed to the bodies as a whole rather that judging the House and the Senate separately. Any thinking person would have to judge the House as being vastly improved over some previous years while judging the Senate, under democrat Harry Reid, as a disaster for America.
Linden’s focus for today is on the review by Republican Representative Kelly of an 1100 page worthless piece of trash. Should the authors of any bill that exceeds 999 pages be tarred and feathered? Regardless, the first link below is of the Kelly speech with the second addressing, again, the phony birth certificate of our President.

My Friday started with the always enjoyable Men’s Prayer Breakfast. It was a cooler day and late in the afternoon brought, for the first time in what seems like forever, a light rain. The high point of my Saturday was having breakfast at the Avon American Legion Post. Some good conversations there. Sunday brought church and Sunday school attendance followed by brunch with friends. Later, watched a very good boxing match,           NASCAR racing and some other stuff.

It seems to Linden that most of the “news” commentators are boring white guys with an occasional boring white women, and boring black and Hispanic men and women thrown into the mix. Of course, Linden’s view of the media is generally unfavorable. As shown in the following link, Mitt Romney had a very good response to a question regarding boring white men:

ASSIGNING RESPONSIBILITY
Immediately following and almost concurrent with the news of the mass killing in Aurora, Colorado a representative of the liberal mass media started the attempt to cast blame on Tea Party activity. The attempt failed, just as it has in every like effort. Now, the focus is on gun ownership…this also is a well developed approach by the liberal mass media and those it so slavishly follows. As Linden may have previously noted, it is next to impossible to reason with those of the liberal bent…they almost invariably get overly irritated when their judgment is questioned. The link below may contain the answer to the question of who to assign responsibility…Linden had never thought of this before…please read it.

Malia and Sasha would have been accompanied by a number of well-armed agents who would have dealt severely with the shooter! Linden is always happy to help answer difficult questions for those who are intellectually gifted.

President Obama’s recent anti business campaign stop in Roanoke, Virginia apparently opened the eyes of several of those slow learners who thought that reporting his imperfections was a form of racial bigotry. They should very publicly apologize. The following links to two articles are perhaps the best Linden has read on the general subject.

YOUR SENATE, YOUR IRS
A recently received Citizens against Government Waste mailing reminded Linden of an interesting report he had read maybe six weeks ago, A link to that report appears at the bottom of this bit of writing which, perhaps, would be more appropriately titled, “OUR SENATE, OUR IRS.” The mailing and the link illustrate how the IRS and The Senate, under democrat Harry Reid, are effectively stealing over $4,000,000,000.00 of taxpayer money, or that borrowed from the Chinese, to reward illegal immigrants. As usual, the Republican House objected to this misuse of funds only to be stopped by Reid and his sheep. More and more Linden is becoming convinced that anyone voting for any democrat is actively supporting the forces of evil.

My Wednesday was busy: I had breakfast at Chick-fil-A, picked up my mail which included some medicine I was about out of, had a meeting or two at church, and went to the American Legion for a short time. I still have plenty to do and that is without devoting some effort to book sales. Maybe tomorrow.

CAN AME BISHOPS BE WRONG?
Before considering this question, please read these words To the Church in Laodicea from The Bible and view the following video link: Rev. 2:15-16, “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot, I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm – neither hot nor cold – I am about to spit you out of my mouth.”  http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2012/07/03/ame-church-slams-house-vote-against-holder/

It appears to Linden that the Bishops vocally support Attorney General Holder, who has failed in several areas of responsibility and has demonstrated a bent for untruthfulness, simply because he is black. In addition, it appears to Linden that their view regarding requiring voter id  fails to consider that such id is required in many areas of our life. One must wonder if they approve of voter fraud and in our government supplying guns used to kill Mexicans and a Border Agent or two. The Church at Laodicea?

My Tuesday was busy but pretty uneventful. Jack came over in the evening and got my DVD player to work if a few wires are changed…not the way it should work but a vast improvement.
