No, it is a dirty business of the type that the mafia could be and may be proud of. The task for the taxpayer and the believer in what was once American superiority is to work harder and support better those candidates who wish to throw the rascals out. OBAMA’S IMMIGRANT CHILDREN

Linden considered calling this posting “SLOWLY BREAKING NEWS” because the words from news readers is often “BREAKING NEWS.” And certainly the news heard Tuesday has been slow breaking in all the areas that Linden trusts to provide news of this type for his readers. Basically, the claim was made that advertisement was made January 29 (about 5 months ago) that transportation would be needed for a large number of immigrant children that would be invading our country. If this happened, it seems to provide further proof that this democrat administration continues to undermine the well being of our country. It would be good if Linden is proven to not understand this particular crisis. The link below appears to validate his judgment.

MEANINGLESS POLLS

The link below addresses public approval of Congress. Linden, due to the great possibility of bending results to what the pollster wants to present, has not an abundance of faith in polls in general and polls regarding Congress probably head his list of those with questionable results. As you know, Congress consists of the Republican controlled House and the democrat controlled Senate. Linden’s approval of the House is roughly in the 85 to 90 percent range while his approval of the Senate would probably be around 5 percent…this would result in an approval of Congress of about 5 percent based upon total effectiveness. For this particular polling effort to have any real meaning it should consist of two separate polls.

Monday found me to be busy most of the day…I intended to do 7 things and actually got 5 of them done…may be a new record for me. I picked up my post office mail, took Paul the mail I had earlier picked up for him, had a very enjoyable lunch with a friend at the new MCL cafeteria in Avon, went by AAA travel and the Avon library, and ended the day by attending the Tea Party meeting in Avon.

CHANGING REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP

Cantor’s primary election loss resulted in Kevin McCarthy being elected as House majority leader and Steve Scalise being elected as majority whip. Linden is concerned that McCarthy may be too much like John Boehner for any conservative to feel comfortable with him. Hopefully this opinion will be reversed. Linden sees the election of Scalise as a good omen: this feeling is buttressed by the article linked below.

Friday brought the early morning Men’s Prayer Breakfast followed by going to Acton’s garage sale, to the post office, and to two stores.

Saturday started with the men’s breakfast meeting at Kingsway CC then on to the fairgrounds for the Blue Star Salute: Governor Pence, Secretary of State Lawson, and Congressman Rokita were there. It was a great tribute to veterans.

Sunday brought church and Sunday school attendance in the morning and a Sunday school class pitch-in picnic in the afternoon.

EDUCATING VOTERS

The article linked below, written by a black author that Linden is not familiar with, is well written and well thought out. Linden has long questioned how in the world over 30% of those polled or often more than half of those voting, many of them claiming to be Christian, could possibly vote for or support the policies of Obama, Reid, Pelosi, and the democrats. The Thomas Sowell article linked below pretty well duplicates Linden’s thoughts in regard to the “upset” loss of Cantor in his primary election effort. It was not so much a win for the Tea Party (although it does mirror it’s stance in regard to illegal immigration) as it was the stance of the majority of the informed electorate in our country. Monday started with breakfast of biscuits and gravy at Chick-fil-A then I picked up a ton of mail at the post office, this included copies of the three print books I now have on Amazon.com. Later, I met former political associate and friend Joyce for milkshakes and a good visit at Steak and Shake. I intended to attend a CDCMF meeting but got to feeling a little shaky and didn’t go. I have not yet made a dent in the mail I need to go through.

MAY CHRISTIAN STUDIES

The messages from the pulpit in May were presented by Steve White and related to our continuing study of the story of the Bible. On May 25, we were up to Daniel. The Sunday School lessons, led by John Lee and Mike Isaacs were devoted to the same subject.

Our Thursday morning breakfast devotions were led by Jack, Chuck, Bill, and myself: The Friday morning Men’s Prayer Breakfasts were led by Steve White and were devoted to the study of Galatians. I attended the men’s monthly meetings at Chapel Rock and Kingsway Christian Churches but missed the monthly CDCMF meeting.

My life since my last posting on May 23 included time at Johnson University in Knoxville, TN where my church group was provided with classes, entertainment, great food, and fellowship. Following that, Brian transported me to his home in northeast Ohio where I ate like a champion, visited, caught up on some reading and enjoyed being a grandfather and father. The highlight was a high school graduation and open house/pig roast for Alison and Scott. Julie and Jade came over from Illinois for that event. Six-year-old Jade commented that she was glad that the pig’s privates were not part of the pig roast servings and she was really excited when Brian took her fishing in his pond and she caught a bluegill. Brian brought me back home and he returned to his home on Father’s Day. My family is a large part of the blessings a loving God provides me.
